One of our hometown banks, buried under an outdated landscape.
This bank is absolutely steeped in history and architectural craftsmanship...
...and is listed on the National Register of Historical Places.
The bank board thought it time to rejuvenate the 20-year old landscape and lighting, and re-align the grounds with the grand building itself.
Infusing some color was one of the top priorities.  (And did we mention they didn't care for the lighting anymore?)
So let the grubbing out begin!  Jessie got the fun of running the excavator...
...while Joe worked clean-up on the ground.
At the end of the day, the dust settled on a bare bank.
Over the next couple days true, straight plant beds went in...
...small flags delineated the new underground sprinkler heads installed, and fresh new plant material started to perk things up.
Attention to Detail:  Ed re-caulked the sidewalk seams after running lighting wires through the cracks.
Prep work and finish-grading complete, now the site just needed the green stuff.
Just like icing on the cake, the crew expertly laid the sod the next day, providing that finishing touch.  The Tiffany windows seem to be glowing.
Curb appeal is back.
And now the 32-ton granite columns are once again showcased.  (They're also 37' tall, if you were wondering.)
Bonnie has some great color combinations going on--here you see Boxwood in the foreground, with Knock Out Shrub Roses and Royal Burgundy Barberry melding in the back.
Chilton stone steppers provide a beautiful way to access the main lawn areas.
