OK, our area might not be urban like NYC is urban, but still, after a long day at work, this little slice of heaven is an urban retreat, beginning with the waterfall at the bottom of the steps.

This is a pondless waterfall...wonderful rushing water without the fuss of a receiving pond.

Gently curving around the bed, the waterfall run lures you down the path.

"Upstream" angle...

Moving along, this bed utilizes woodland-type plants to frame the view.

A Belgard Arbel stone path leads you on, past lush pachysandra...

...on to a more extensive planting by the shed. When the Japanese Painted Fern (left) fill in, what's beautiful now will then be gorgeous.

A patio area in front of the shed allows for rest or a work staging surface. We personally would linger a bit.

Which way shall we go?

The pool pit area makes for a great gathering spot.
