Well this has never happened to us before...an award AND one of our projects landing on the front cover of a supplier's catalog! We didn't even have an acceptance speech prepared. Can it be true?
Wisteriaphoto courtesy of David Sim While at our association's trade show last week (the MNLA), I spied a Wisteria plant in bloom. A new, improved variety. Could it be true...will THIS be the wisteria to reliably perform in our area? It has a name--Summer Cascade. Doesn't that sound lovely? I'm hoping to get my hands on one to trial this summer. Stay tuned!

Kind of Funny…and Kind of Not

Another Spring, Another Bunch of Babies!
Who knew the roaring of Bobcats and 2-ton trucks could be such a nice lullaby? Well one persistent (goofy?) killdeer family line thinks so! Every spring a killdeer household makes their nest in our tree yard, and we noticed the small eggs have finally hatched. Watching the parents try to corral the brand new baby birds--and they want none of it--seems a little too familiar but oh-so cute. Those little ones are born to run!
